Morris trip to the Morris Centenery event at Cornbury Park

The Morris waiting in line for the ferry to Hull.

We saw hundreds of different Morris Minors at the Centenery event.
Who said Travellers were rare?
I had mentioned I might like to find a nice set of blue seats for my Morris. The first thing my traveling companions pointed out to me was this beautiful set. I asked if it would be any use haggling. Seller's answer was I was free to haggle on Sunday night. Of course it was secured and carried back to the tent as soon as possible. It was a bargain.
The Landcrab club displayed 34 cars.

There were fewer pre War Morris cars than expected, but still plenty of interesting and some rare vehicles were on display. A brilliant event!
The RAF re-enactment group and the pilot of one of the Tiger Moths were very convincing.
A nice row of Bullnose Morris cars
Catering was a bit limited, so the sport of queuing reached a new level.
It was an impressive sight to see a flight of  Tiger Moth planes (built at the Morris factory).
You can also view our video of starting one of these planes and the Morris concourse parade in the arena.
Regal Wolseley 6/80 trailing some dust.

Trying a little Morris lorry for size. The cabin is very light and roomy.

The Morris fully packed with spares bought at the jumble and camping gear. Ready for the drive back to Hull
Late lunch break at Howden Minster
Cream tea served at the Minster.
The Minor performed flawlessly and we were soon back on the ferry. We drove a total of a little more than 800 kms. I'd call that a good testrun.
